There is an increasingly recognized hereditary component to the development of cholangiocarcinoma (CCA), but no large genome-wide association studies have previously been performed. Our group is currently collecting blood samples from individuals with and without CCA to explore the genetic differences between the two groups. This webinar will describe the process and share some preliminary results from the first large-scale genetic study of CCA, a global collaboration involving dozens of institutions, including the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation. Information will also be provided on how you can participate in this study.
